Located

    Gorillas are found in West Central Africa mostly in Zaire,
    Rwanda, and along the Congo River.

Diet

    Gorillas eat mostly leaves, fruit and bark.


Habitat

    Gorillas live in the forests and mountains of Central
    Africa, sometimes at very high altitudes.

Size

    The size of a gorilla is:
    Approximately 350 - 400 lbs for males.
    Approximately 175 - 200 lbs for females.
    Height is from 5.5 ft to 6 ft.*

Reproduction

    Gorillas have a pregnancy period of 8 to 9 months and
    have one offspring (appx 4 lbs).
