Located

    Manatees are located around the world, mostly in tropical
    warm water areas.

Diet

    Manatees are herbivores and eat different types of
    oceanic and freshwater plants.

Habitat

    Manatees can be found in the warm water coastlines and
    rivers of Florida, the Carribbean, Africa, the Amazon and
    parts of Asia.  The manatee is not confined to these
    areas but these are where the largest populations are
    located.

Size

    Manatees grow to be approximately 10 - 12 feet in length.

Reproduction

    A female manatee's pregnancy period is approximately
    12 months and will generally have one calf.
